Beijing Special Rectification real estate brokerage agencies strictly investigate and publish false advertisements 15 categories

Since April 1, Beijing Municipal Administration of Industry and Commerce has launched a two-month special rectification work for real estate brokerage agencies, focusing on investigating and punishing illegal acts such as real estate brokerage agencies publishing false advertisements and infringing consumers’ rights and interests by using contract format terms.

This special rectification makes full use of big data technology, integrates complaint reporting information, store distribution, business information and other data, and conducts full coverage inspection on enterprises with higher risks, A high proportion of spot checks were conducted on other real estate enterprise brokers, and nearly 5,000 respondents were identified.

During the rectification process, law enforcement officers will strengthen advertising monitoring, conduct comprehensive monitoring of real estate and housing intermediary advertisements published on television, radio, print and key websites, and timely discover and investigate illegal advertising activities. At the same time, strengthen the supervision of the Internet information service platform and timely block illegal information such as false housing and false advertisements.

The special rectification work adopts the method of “rectification and exposure”, severely cracking down on the publication of false advertisements, advertising containing promises such as appreciation and further study, advertising containing feudal superstition content such as feng shui and divination, occupy or misappropriate customer funds, use contract format terms to infringe upon consumers’ rights and interests and other 15 types of people have strongly reflected illegal acts that seriously disrupt the market order, investigating and exposing a number of typical cases, guide real estate brokerage agencies to enhance the awareness of law-abiding, standardize business behavior, establish an honest and trustworthy market order, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of the masses.

During the special rectification period, the industrial and commercial departments will strictly examine the newly established real estate brokerage institutions, restrict the registration of enterprises that have been ordered by relevant departments to rectify stores (branches), and plus-sized the market restrictions of dishonest enterprises; improve the credit publicity mechanism of real estate intermediary, collect the administrative punishment information of real estate brokerage agencies in time according to the credit collection principle of “the result of the entity’s name”, and push it to relevant functional departments, and through Beijing Enterprise Credit Information Network to the public, guide social supervision.
