Collapsing accident 19 people in Guangzhou thermal power plant were detained or committed malfeasance

Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, April 8 (Reporter Zhan Yijia) the People’s Procuratorate of Guangdong province reported at noon on the 8th that after the collapsing accident of the operating platform occurred in Guangzhou No. 7 thermal power plant on March 25 this year, the public security organs filed an investigation with offence of major accident, at present, 19 suspected criminals have been detained. The People’s Procuratorate of Conghua district of Guangzhou city has launched an early intervention mechanism for major cases to follow up the investigation and handling of accidents.

On March 25, the operation platform of Guangzhou No. 7 thermal power plant, which was under construction in Tankou Village, Aotou town, Conghua district, Guangzhou city, collapsing accident, causing 9 deaths and 2 injuries. On the same day, the Conghua District Procuratorate dispatched personnel to the scene to cooperate with the Guangzhou joint investigation team to carry out the investigation and handling of the accident, and to investigate the possible malfeasance crimes behind the accident.
